DDR Mario Version

in: games

In an effort to keep our family fit and active we are always looking for ways to get the kids up and moving. The Inspector had been hearing several positive things in the news and media about Dance Dance Revolution and decided to investigate. The Inspector looked at several versions and decided that for the kidlets the DDR Mario edition seemed most appropriate.

The product is described as such

* Shake your thing to over 25 dance-flavored songs, from classic Nintendo themes to familiar favorites
* Five difficulty levels — dancers of all abilities will be able to get into the groove
* Grab a friend and throw your own dance party — see who’s got the best moves
* Have fun while getting in shape! The special Workout feature tracks the calories burned while playing

The Inspector’s oldest son at first was extremely frustrated with this game. Let’s just say the Inspector’s family (nor the Inspector for that matter) has no natural inclination towards rhythm. With encouragement however and a fair amount of practice the Inspector’s kidlets fell in love with this game. The entire Inspector family has had a blast challenging one another and pushing each other to go further and further along in the game. Any family looking to become more active in a way that really appeals to children should without fail invest in this game!
