As a monetize blogger the Inspector frequently is found in the position of being required to create content of a specified length. The Inspector is a well-known plugin junkie when it comes to WordPress but have failed in my quest to find a word count plugin that - the Inspector likes. The Inspector is also a huge fan of FireFox extensions and decided to investigate whether there might be a FireFox add-on that would solve this problem. The Inspector’s quest ended when the FireFox add-on Word Count was found. Quite simply this add-on

Will count the number of words in any text that is selected. Simply highlight the text, right-click, and select “Word Count”. A pop-up window will show you how many words are in that selected.

This means no more opening a post in the dashboard simply to find out if my word count was indeed accurate.
