Space Saving Printer

in: hardware

The design of my work station is such that space is at a premium. When the time came to replace my old, space hogging printer I decided to go with a smaller and more compact style. The one I ultimately chose was the HP A616 Photosmart Compact Photo Printer. This printer features:

Product Features

* Compact Photo Printer/Up to 4,800-optimized dpi/2.4 inch color image display

* Optional HP Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter allows users to print from camera phones
* Users can edit photos directly on printer crop, zoom, layout and more
* 3.46 Lbs (WxLxH) 4.60″ x 9.90″ x 5.10″

Technical Details

* Print Method: Photo Printer
* Resolution: Up to 4800 x 1200 DPI (Color)
* Resolution: Up to 1200 x 1200 DPI (Black)
* Special Features: Built in Media Card Slot
* Special Features: Border Free Printing
* Dimensions: 9.9″W x 4.6″D x 5″H
* Connectivity: USB
* Connectivity: PictBridge
* Connectivity: Memory Card
* Standard Paper Input: 20 Sheet Photo Tray
* Paper Sizes Supported: 4″ x 6″
* Paper Sizes Supported: 5″ x 7″
* Paper Sizes Supported: 4″ x 6.5″
* Paper Sizes Supported: 4″ x 8″

There are a number of features I love about this printer but foremost is the the one-touch HP Photo Fix button This feature is great because it automatically removes red-eye, sharpens blurred images, and improves the overall brightness, color, and contrast of photos. Cropping, zooming, and layout changes are a breeze. For example if I was printing out pictures of various Catholic saints and wanted to add a bit of pizazz it would be a snap to adding borders and frames with this printer. At just around $100.00 this printer has been a perfect addition to my tiny workspace.
