Yahoo May Join Microsoft Family
Posted by The Inspector on May 4th, 2007 filed in internetYahoo News is reporting that Microsoft is once again in a bid to acquire internet search engine giant Yahoo. If the deal comes to fruition this should put Yahoo in an incredible position to compete with Google. Google surely could use the competition in this writer’s opinion. This would be a great move for Microsoft considering its third rank position in the world of internet search engines. While Microsoft has attempted negotiations with Yahoo in the past this bid has very pronounced air of determination.
The New York Post reported Friday that Microsoft has asked Yahoo to enter formal negotiations for an acquisition that could be worth $50 billion. Yahoo’s market capitalization was about $38 billion on Thursday.
