On some of my other blogs I have often referred to my neighbors who are now known as “the borrowers”. This couple thinks nothing of asking to borrow literally anything and everything. For the entire duration of the summer they have, on a weekly basis, come over to borrow our life preservers to go boating with their relatives. The crazy thing is despite the life preservers we have do not fit their children at all they keep asking for them. Mrs. Borrower has commented repeatedly how the littlest Borrower falls completely out of his preserver and even asked if she could “sew it up a bit”! What I really want to do is tell them to go buy their own and stop with all the begging and borrowing. Not that they would spend the money but a StearnsĀ® Infant / Child Heads Up Life Jacket is a great option for little people and costs around $20.00 online. The manufacturer describes the product as
…designed for infants and children! The Stearns infant and child “Heads-Up” boating water vest utilizes a rounded flotation collar for extra head and neck support and grab strap for added security. Crosstech foam offers flotation while an adjustable belt, leg strap and zipper front closure combine to ensure a snug fit.
