The thought never occurred to me but while I was looking into child life preservers I found they also make them for dogs. For some reason I guess I just assumed that swimming came naturally to dogs. I wonder how you test your dog to find out if it needs a life preserver? Maybe it is just like putting one on people who know how to swim and you just do it as a precaution.
