Last spring I decided it was time I embark on trying a new hobby. I decided that it might be fun to make my own wine. Over the last 6 months I have made several different flavors including blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, and watermelon. Truth be told aside from a few wine coolers every now and then I am not much of a drinker. What drew me to making wine was more the process involved than any great interest in the finished product. I have sampled a few sips of each flavor as the process has continued and have to say I am not overly impressed with my creations. I recognize that wine making is art and it takes time to get really good at it but I am thinking that you really need to love wine to make good wine. My wife thinks I should take up making pickles or something I really enjoy eating.
