Every so often I get the urge to build something. My most recent project was a piece of tv furniture. For the most part the television stand I build turned out very well. The only problem was I built it at such a height that it ended up being the first place our kids would prop their feet on while watching television. They also inevitably banged on the doors with their feet while getting them up there. Now the door is hanging on by a thread and there isn’t a good way to fix it other than build new doors. Since I made the thing out of scrap wood I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad about it. I just wish little feet would find someplace else to rest such as on the floor.
