How is it possible?

As I sit here I am watching a very interesting episode of “Hoarders”. This show features a 7 year old child who has been labeled a hoarder. The child lives with his mother who is a hoarder. Most of these shows I have watched it is pretty clear that the people truly are hoarders. This particular episode leaves me questioning that diagnosis. This family really seems more like a bunch of slobs. There is a difference to me between someone who hangs onto belongings and someone who just randomly throws trash on the floor. I just cannot believe people with children would allow them to wade through litter. What further amazes me is the fact that they would disclose this fact to the world at large. It is one thing to seek help for your child in private but in a public forum just seems wrong.
