Just agitating!

My family is what I would describe as neat and orderly. We have tried to instill in our children a sense of pride in their home and belongings. The things we have aren’t many nor are they overly pricey but what we do have we take care of. I wish that we could instill this same value in our pet. I have tried tons of different cat supplies and just can’t seem to make our cats understand that furniture is not a scratching post. I know this goes against their nature but they have every scratching device imaginable and still prefer the carpet or furniture. Maybe I need to try some sort of spray to detour them from scratching the furniture?
