Why do I do it?

The news is not something I tend to watch very much of on television. The main reason is that my kids are always here and watch whatever I watch. Since there is no good way to filter what you watch on the news the easiest thing to do is just now watch. I do however read the news online on CNN almost daily. I am beginning to wonder why I bother to do even this. It really does seem as if the world is going to pot. I have to wonder if anyone morally decent is going to be left in the coming years. It almost seems as if the only thing going on is sadness and destruction. Is is just me or does anyone else wonder what is happening to our future?
