Too many clubs.

The office I work in seems to always be coming up with some new way to ask for money. We have a coffee club, a holiday committee, and at least a dozen other committees. Our office hosts a Groundhog Day party of all things. It almost seems like they are forever looking for a reason to celebrate. On one hand I like this but on the other hand it feels like a constant pressure is there to donate money whether I want to do so or not. This week they decided that our water tastes bad and that we should all have a “water club”. I had to say no to this one because I am perfectly happy buying my own water filters and filling a water bottle at home. I just don’t see why I should have to pay $10 a month to drink water at work when I can get it at home for almost nothing. Call me a scrooge but there has to be a limit and I think this is one club too many for my taste.
