Time to start shopping.

The time of year has finally rolled around when it is time to start buying Christmas presents. I really don’t look forward to this time of year much at all. I enjoy watching the children open presents but the process of buying them just tries my patience. The aimless wandering of various stores in search the perfect toy is just not my cup of tea. People just seem to loose all sense of order when it comes to shopping for the holidays. I love that my wife is happy with easy things to find like Contemporary Jewelry or a gift card. Finding her a great gift is typically a cut and dry process that takes a matter of a few minutes. Tracking down that certain hot toy of the year is never so easy. Last year we went to half a dozen stores looking for this one certain toy. We bought what we thought was the toy my son had wanted only to find out on Christmas morning that it looked like the toy but had none of the special features of the toy he saw on television. I don’t know which of us was more disappointment in the toy. This year I am hoping for a slightly more successful shopping adventure as his interests have shifted towards video games rather than toys.
