Coupons- no thanks!
Posted by The Inspector on December 8th, 2009 filed in UncategorizedMy wife loves to use coupons. For some reason she has a system that works for her and seems to save us a great deal of money. She has to drive to a nearby town to use her coupons. I tried to use coupons but it bugs me so much, that I gave up on coupons, is the inconsistency about coupons at stores. We only have one store in town, which doesn’t even double, and doesn’t have a customer savings card. Anyhow, one cashier may let me use 2 coupons for the BOGOF deals, while a manager tells me, that is not allowed, because the one you are getting free is not being purchased, its being given. Or if I have Gerber coupons, a BOFOF, and $1 off 2, one cashier may let me use both coupons, with only having to buy the 2-2 packs, while other cashiers and managers give me problems.
The other day I went in to buy the aerosol febreeze sprays, they were on sale 2/$5, I had 2-$1 off coupons…that was the only thing I bought, (and theres a line forming behind me). She tells me she can only take one because it says one per purchase….so I explained to her, that I AM PURCHASING 2 cans of this spray, and that if she’d like to remove one of those, then its fine, i’ll get right back in line to use it again. If it says one per purchase, then, at least to me, that means, one per PURCHASE….but if it says one per customer, then that is when I have to leave the store and go back in if I have multiples.
Anyways, this has irritated me so much, I got tired of it, and contacted united via email and told them I want 2 copies of their coupon policies….
