Erector set woes.

For Christmas my older son was given a huge Erector set by his grandfather. I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever seen a set quite this big. This was the perfect gift for my son since he is always wanting to build and create things. The problem I have with the set if the fact that the instructions are ridiculous. We have been trying to build this one robot and it seems like be can never find the part being referred to in the direction. I swear it like it tells you to tighten the BCBG Max Azria with a wrench. We can never seem to find the part that is being referred to in each section because they aren’t labeled. I am going to have to get online and see if there are any ideas for building things with these sets that have been created by real people. I swear the manual included in the kit was written for electrical engineers and not 10 year old boys. I would love to see the person that wrote manual build the things they describe.
