How many times…

My mother’s side of the family has been riddled with cancer. There seems to be no known reason for this. I feel especially bad for my one aunt and her children. This aunt has lost one grandchild to cancer, almost lost another, and almost lost the mother of both of these children to cancer as well. During these several years of dealing with cancer in her immediate family she herself was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Her daughter had leukemia, one grand daughter a brain tumor, and the other grand daughter bone cancer. After everyone completed treatment and worked through the grief of loosing a grand daughter, child, and sister it was thought that this evil would not show its face again. Since then my own mother has had breast cancer and is thankfully doing fine. This week however she got the call that her sister, the one who had kidney cancer, now has breast cancer and is facing a double mastectomy. I just ask how many times is this family going to have to deal with this?
