Two feet.

This weekend I broke the rules. I know, I know but you can beat with with a wet noodle on another day. The thing is I just cannot stand to wear this walking cast for one more day. Technically, I am supposed to wear it until this Wednesday but I just needed to feel the ground fully beneath both feet again. I put on my second shoe and it felt great. I am surprised that I am not feeling more pain than I am. Things are stiff and I feel a little week but it doesn’t feel painful at all! I am now feeling so much more optimistic about what the future will be like with these pins in my ankle. I envisioned not being able to do all the things I enjoy this summer but it looks like I will be able to. I may not be speedy at them or be able to do them for very long but at least I will be doing them. Two feet on the ground is wonderful after all these weeks.
