Settling down

It is funny how things tend to happen in spurts. Several of my good friends seemed like they would be bachelors forever. Last year one of them surprised us all by getting married. Now in the last few month three more friends are engaged to be married. It almost like when one of them jumped in with both feet they all decided to take a risk and put themselves out there. Our conversations now seem to be less and less about sports and more about wedding accessories. It is weird because I have been married for so long that I don’t remember how consuming it can be to plan a wedding. I am just happy for these guys that they are finally finding someone to spend their lives with. It is good to know that there really is someone out there for everyone. I am just having a hard time picturing a couple of them having children so late in life but anything is possible. I thought 35 was old to be having more children and can’t imagine pushing 40 and just starting out. It will definitely be an adjustment to be sure for all of them.
