Making logs.
Posted by The Inspector on April 27th, 2010 filed in UncategorizedWe burn a wood fire occasionally just to switch things up a bit. This is not our main source of heat. I have always bought wood from a neighbor. Since we use so little it really isn’t that much of an expense. I read about a device you can use to make logs out of paper. I haven’t known anyone personally that uses one. It appeals to me on one level and concerns me on another. I am not sure that I would use these logs in our fireplace because they sound like they would produce more smoke than fire. I would think however that they would prove useful when camping and put all of that excess paper to good use. I am sure there are those that would argue the environmental impact of burning these “logs”. Our local recycling project does not accept alot of the paper waste we produce and this would seem like a good alternative to throwing all that paper in the trash. Have you used one of these devices and if so what do you think of them specifically for logs for camping?
