Cool and unexpected.

A few weeks ago my wife completed an online survey from our power company. The purpose of the survey was to evaluated the energy usage in your home and offer ideas for reducing energy consumption. The survey took some time and my wife completed it just to see what might be suggested. There were a lot of good ideas like wrapping our hot water heater and installing new low flow faucets. Most of the ideas were things that we were already doing. Today a box arrived in the mail from the power company. When my wife opened it she found it was full of neat things. The box contained led nightlights, CFL lightbulbs, low flow faucet heads, and smart power surge protectors. All in all there was about $75.00 in free goodies in the box. Even better is that fact that we were able to put all of them to good use immediately. I have to say that when you are offered the opportunity to take a survey you might want to agree. This was definitely one we feel was worth the time it took to complete.
