Mission accomplished.

Have you ever had something that you just needed to get done? I am talking about the type of thing that is more about proving you can do it than really needing to get it done. This happened to me this week when I was gifted a riding lawn mower. This particular lawn mower was one that my in-laws asked me to help fix. I told them what needed to be done to it and tried to assist. My father-in-law refused to accept any of my suggestions and ultimately declared the lawn mower to be junk. When it was all said and done they wanted to get rid of it and offered it to me. For the last week I have tested various theories about fixing the lawn mower. After trial and error I have reached success. Tonight the lawn mower is running like a dream and the lawn is mowed. I love my in-laws and they are good people but for some reason they always seem to think I don’t know anything about anything. I don’t know whether to keep the mower and tell them I fixed it or give it back. If I give it back it will seem like I am saying “there I told you so” don’t you think? They have already bought a new riding lawn mower and have little use for a second one at this time.
