A good plan.

A friend of ours is getting married for the first time in a couple of weeks. He is one of those people that I quite honestly never thought would be getting married. I am incredibly happy for him and his bride-to-be seems like a wonderful woman. I love the wedding plan that have put together and think it is very practical. They are forgoing a big wedding for a small intimate wedding. The only people they are inviting to the wedding are immediate family. They will not be having a big reception or anything after their wedding. Instead they will be having a wedding celebration about a month after the wedding. I am sure they will splurge on a few wedding favors but they are being very frugal with their plans. I think this is something that comes from being much older than your typical bride and groom. They have the world experience to realize that a marriage is about so much more than the wedding. A wedding does not set the tone for a marriage. They believe that a wedding is a very personal and private commitment that you make to one another.
