Energizer bunny neighbor.

Recently an older woman stopped in our drive and asked if we were getting ready for a garage sale because she wanted to buy some of the thing she saw sitting in our drive. We were getting ready to at some point have a garage sale and decided to sell her some stuff. In fact we pretty much gave it to her just to get rid of it. I have to admit that I was a little weirded out because she was looking in our garage while we were in the house. It turns out that she was moving into the apartment building across the street. Since she has moved in she has now started to become a bit of a pest. She has been to our house almost every other day asking to use the phone and claiming her cell phone was dead. On another visit she wanted me to hook up her dryer vent for her. I went over and did it but kind of rudely explained that she really needed to ask her landlord or family to do this. She does have family who visit routinely. She has asked for rides places and was going door to door in the neighborhood wanting something tonight. She came to our door and ran the bell multiple times but we elected not to answer. I feel sort of bad but I am beginning to sense that she is not going to stop or take the hint. There is a certain liability I am not going to accept in handling household tasks for her in a rental property. I also don’t like the fact that she clearly has boundary issues and the fact that she told my wife her grandchildren will “rob you blind if you let them”.
