Take a vacation.

I came to a realization last week that my boss needs to take a vacation more often. Whenever she goes away for a week I have a great week. For some reason I am twice as productive when she is gone than when she is there. There is something about this woman that make getting my job done incredibly hard. I believe the reason is that she is impossible to approach when I have a question or need assistance with a case. She simply will not just answer a question but turns it into a quest for me to solve. The other supervisors in the department will just answer a question and move on but not my boss. She instead points me to a manual or online resource for the answer despite the fact that she knows how to answer my question. I am not quite sure what her reasoning is for the way she handles things but I don’t like it. I do however enjoy each and every week that she is gone so immensely that it is as if I myself had a taken a vacation. Give the woman a few more weeks is all I can ask for…
