Just the grownups…

We are a family who does almost everything together. It doesn’t occur to us not to include our children in things. We plan activities that are family friendly or we don’t do them. This weekend is a rare exception to that rule. My wife and I are going away for the first time in a decade without our children. We will be enjoying 3 days away from our children at a cabin in the woods. It should be really fun to spend some time just being us again. I think that is something we have been missing. Sure, we spend time alone after they go to bed but it isn’t the same thing. I am really looking forward to a meal, with my wife, that doesn’t come from a fast food restaurant.
