Maturing…

When we go away this weekend we are putting our children in the hands of their grandmother’s. This should prove to be quite and interesting weekend for everyone involved. Our children have never spent a weekend away from us at the same time. The little guy has never spent a night away period. Our older son doesn’t bat an eye at the idea and seems to care less. I can tell already that it won’t be long before he is a pimple popping teenager because he is maturing before my eyes. He has asked me half a dozen questions today about certain things he knows will need to be done while we are gone. Just asking me about who will attend to these tasks makes me realize that he is not oblivious to certain aspects of keeping our home running. I admit there are times when I have wondered if he even realizes how much work adults have to do but I am now seeing that he is conscious of life around him. It is good to see these changes in my young man. He is such a great kid.
