Moving ahead…

Today we learned that based on some test results our older son just received that he is a much more advanced learner than we initially thought. We knew the child was bright but apparently he exceeds our expectations in some areas. After speaking with his teacher today it was suggested that we let him move ahead in his curriculum at a much faster rate than we had been. This is a wonderful thing because our previous teachers did not want us to do this. We have always felt that he needed to be more challenged in school in areas related to language and science. At last we can offer him the opportunity to advance at his own pace rather than trying to reign him in. It should be interesting to see if he seizes this chance or prefers not to be challenged with tougher material.
