One car next year?

The lease on our second vehicle runs out in about 6 months. We have been seriously debating about not replacing this car and sticking with one vehicle. We really needed two cars when both of us were working and our children were in public school. Now that my wife works from home and our children are home schooled having two cars is not such an issue. I would really like to direct the money we are spending on car insurance and lease payments to other things. It kills me to have a car sitting in the driveway most of the time that is not being used. There are only a couple of days a month when having a second car would be an issue for us. I am now torn as to whether we should just keep our older vehicle and use it as our primary vehicle or replace it with something newer when we switch to one vehicle.
