Say what?

For as long as I can remember our oldest son has always said the prayer at dinner in our house. In about the last month our youngest son has started to want to take over this task. He is only 4 and I am quite sure has no idea what the prayer is for or why we might be saying it. We have decided to give him a chance at saying it and find his version absolutely adorable. Honestly, we can’t understand most of it but he tries so hard that we all just sit and try to keep a straight face. The parts I can make out relate to cheese being great and we thank you … This is followed by a very loud Amen. I have to believe that whoever might be out there listening to our little prayer appreciates the sentiment of the effort. I also honestly think our little guy is somehow thinking that our dinnertime ritual of prayer is actually a moment to praise the power of cheese in our lives. Cheese does play a huge part in our lives… maybe he is onto something?
