Yearly tasks.

This is the time of year when I do my annual housekeeping in regards to my websites. I always make sure to renew my registrations, update my software, and switch up my templates. If I have time I try to do a few manual directory submissions and other tasks. I look at these as routine tasks that are no different from taking care of things around my home. You don’t renew your home owner’s insurance without considering what is covered and things like web hosting should also be analyzed. I try to make sure that what I am paying remains competitive and the services offered are maximizing my potential. I see maintaining a website as an investment that I need to protect as carefully as I can. I like handling this is the fall because my schedule tends to lighter and I can pay better attention to details.
