Packing her up…
Posted by The Inspector on October 27th, 2010 filed in UncategorizedThis afternoon has been incredibly warm and beautiful. I decided to spend my time off getting a few last minute outdoor projects completed. The weather is supposed turn cold and even snowy in the next few days. One thing I managed to get done was to winterize our camper. Because our camper is very old and we don’t have anything like a 5th wheel warranty it is really important that we pack it up properly. We make sure to take just about everything out of the inside of the camper and store it in the attic for the winter. The ports in the camper get plugged with steel wool to keep critters out and the entire thing gets put on jacks to protect the wheels. I then cover the entire camper with tightly wrapped tarps to protect it as much as possible from the elements. I would love to have an indoor place to store it but we just don’t at this time. I do as much as I can and then we just hope the vermin and the weather are kind to us.
