What is old is new…

I have posted many times that we do not subscribe to a cable or satellite television package. About 4 months ago we started subscribing to Netflix and have never looked back. For less than $10.00 a month we have an unlimited supply of programs to choose from. I am amazed at the stuff this is available for such a low price. What I find really funny is what my children choose to watch given this selection. Quite often I will find them watching shows from my childhood like the “Munster’s” or “Buckaroo Bonzae”. One day my son thought that “Fat Albert” was the most fascinating program he had ever seen. I had to laugh when he asked questions about why the show feature an episode about not taking drugs? He said that everyone knew drugs were bad to take and wondered why anyone in the cast would be this dumb? On one hand I love the innocence in the question and on the other I wonder why we are still trying to get this message across 30 years later. He then wanted to know why these kids played at a junkyard and if we could go and play at one someday soon…
