Cookies and cake…

I came home yesterday to find that my wife had been on a baking binge. Our kitchen counters are lined with cookies, granola, and other snacks. To top things off we went to a cake auction last night. I am seriously going to need to find out what is the best diet pill is if this continues. We ended up buying a fairly large cake at the auction. The auction was a fund raiser for my son’s Boy Scout troop. It is pretty much expected that if your child participates in the troop that you must buy a cake. I like that scouts are encouraged to do things like cooking. I don’t remember this being a component of camping when I was a scout. It was really cool to see the various themes people came up with for their cakes. Now, if I can only keep control of impulses and not over indulge in all the goodies lying around my house.
