Wound so tight!

What is it about the thought of the weekend that makes people get giddy? Our children are wound tighter than a drum today. You would think that we had some big plans for the weekend like heading off to luxury new york city hotels or something. The reality is that the only thing we have to look forward to is laundry and working on our bathroom remodel. I suppose that even home schooled children look forward to the weekend and just sitting around doing nothing. The problem is that we can’t get them focused on school on Fridays. We have considered shortening our school week to four days but I know that it wouldn’t change anything. They would just start acting the same way on Thursday that they do on Friday. I am actually looking forward to not having to hound them to get their school work done for a couple of days.
