All fixed.
Posted by The Inspector on December 1st, 2010 filed in UncategorizedThis week I logged onto my computer to find out that that for some reason my virus software wasn’t turned on. After freaking out for a moment I ran a quick check of everything and at first it all seemed fine. After running a couple of other virus and malware programs I was able to find the problem. Somehow we had gotten a virus on the computer. Apparently it was not able to actually do anything because the program it preys on needs to have software that is not current. It essentially finds a loophole in computers that are not kept up to date with the latest versions of that particular program. I was really glad the problem was a simple fix because I am well past my 3 year laptop warranty and don’t want to have to pay for a new computer right now. How my anti-virus software got disabled is beyond me but I suspect that the children might have been playing on the computer. My youngest son has a bad habit of clicking randomly on things without any clue what he is doing.
