Sunshine dreams…

Summer feels like it just ended and I am already daydreaming about next summer. We sat down this week and ordered some of our seeds for the garden next year. We are going to plant the standard things like carrots, potatoes, peas, beans, and tomatoes. There are going to be a couple of new additions to our lineup like some Arganaut squashes and sweet potatoes. We are hoping to find a deal on some asparagus crowns in order to get a nice bed started. I have a couple of non-garden projects in my mind such as a brick bread oven and a rocket stove. We think it would be great to be able to do all of our cooking outdoors instead of inside when the temperatures are sweltering. I also think it would be great fun to invite friends and neighbors over to have a pizza cooking party in our brick oven. I intend to spend the next few months collecting the perfect plans and supplies for my projects in order to start building at the first sign of spring weather.
