Toy fear.

Our youngest son is four year old. When it comes to most things the child is pretty fearless. There have been times when I have wondered if there is anything that the child won’t do or try. We were pretty surprised to find out that there is something he is afraid of and it is a particular type of toy. For the last two years he has been given toys that move when you press a button. In particular these are toys that roll forward and backward when you press a button. Last year it was a toy tractor that he insisted I hide in a closet. This year it is a toy forklift. Every time someone presses the buttons to make it move forward or backward the child leaps onto my lap or onto a chair to get away from it. Funny… and odd.
