The car is done.

About 30 minutes ago we completed work on our entry for this year’s Pinewood Derby. I have to say that this is indeed the most complicated car that we have ever built. I have no idea if it will perform well but at least we gave it our best effort. In looking back at the cars that I entered when I was a child I have to say mine were pretty pathetic. I should give myself a break because I built my cars without any adult input. My father was not in my life on a regular basis and only provided sporadic input on my various attempts at building a car. At least my son will look back and remember that I was keenly involved in his life and his scouting experiences. Even if his car doesn’t win the race he will hopefully not laugh in hindsight at his entry.
