School across the miles.

When I think about the manner in which my children attend school I am always amazed. To think that my children attend school with kids from across the state right from the comfort of their own home is really incredible. They submit assignments to their teacher via the internet and by using scanning software to make digital copies of their assignments. In the course of the day my gets the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life that he would otherwise not meet in our small town. He takes courses that would not be offered in our local middle schools like robotics, Spanish, and investing. When people say that children who are home schooled are sheltered from the world I have to laugh. I honestly think my children are exposed to a more diverse world that other children their in our local public schools.
