Spoiled girls…

Last night we ran into our friends at the library. In the course of the conversation the topic of our chickens came up. In describing how we take care of our chickens I started to realize how spoiled our chickens are. While they don’t drink from silver bowls or have mini chandeliers in their coop, they do have it very nice. They essentially have a chicken condominium that is complete with a covered run. Their coop also has heat and a regulated supply of light. We give them treats daily as well as clean their coop each day. These chickens have it about as good as any chicken could. It might sound silly but we appreciate what they provide for our family and want them to be as happy and healthy as possible. I know that chickens will produce eggs under far worse conditions but we have ours so that at least a couple of them don’t have to do so for our family.
