Road work.

It was announced in the newspaper this week that the road in front of our house will be taken out and replaced. This is good news and bad news. The good news is that the gigantic pot holes that line our street will be fixed. The bad news is that getting in and out of our driveway will be difficult. Traffic will be backed up in front of our house and there will be a great deal of dirt and dust. My children are very much looking forward to watching the construction take place. I imagine myself spending most of the summer slathering myself in cheap tanning lotions and sitting in the front yard with them watching all the big trucks. My youngest son is particularly fascinated with construction equipment and all of this will give him a front row seat. I will just be glad when it is all over. The road right now is almost impossible to drive and has damaged many a car in our town.
