The edible hedge.

This morning we discussed the idea of putting a hedge between our house and the neighbor’s. We have a variety of gardening projects going on and hadn’t really given much thought to traditional landscaping. My wife recently learned about the idea of planting edible landscape plants as opposed to traditional landscape plants. The thought occurred to us that we could plant some sort of bushy plants that would not only provide us with a bit of privacy but also some usable food for our family. We now need to research what would be the best type of plant for our needs and purposes. We are presently considering either blueberry bushes or hazelnut shrubs. I know that either has unique needs and I am not sure which would give us better bang for our buck.
