Lucky day?

St. Patrick’s day has been on my oldest son’s mind for quite a while. Now that the day is actually here I believe he is a bit letdown. He has been plotting a way to trap a leprechaun for several weeks. He keeps telling me that if we could trap a leprechaun we would never have to worry about money again. I’ll admit I find the idea of a life free of credit cards, online cash advance, and budgeting quite appealing. It is hard to support his creativity and yet keep him grounded in reality. He is a child who wants to believe in the possibility of everything from aliens to leprechauns. His face was so sad today when he found his leprechaun trap did not contain a single leprechaun nor even a gold coin. I considered leaving his a fake gold coin but I decided that might be an even bigger letdown than finding an empty trap.
