Living simply.

There have been times in our lives where we have been obsessed with having it all. Obviously most us want the American dream but I am talking about more than that. I am describing chasing stuff and what we are told we need to experience in this life to be truly alive. This goes beyond trips and traveling to Outer Banks vacation rentals and such. I am talking about believing that happiness exists in owning and absorbing the world by being a consumer. In the last couple of years we have embraced a simple lifestyle. This means that we don’t buy stuff just to buy it or seek happiness in shopping. I can honestly say that we are much happier without the excess. Not worrying about keeping up with what everyone else has is freeing in so many ways.
