Almost a teen…

Our oldest son is just about 12 years old. In the last couple of months we have begun to see a real change in him. Not only does he look older but his attitude is changing. He is more aware of his own need for privacy as well as that of others. We have had to have a few discussions with him about mature topics because he was clearly confused about certain things he had heard on the radio and on television. I know it won’t be long before I have to talk with him about shaving and how to get rid of whiteheads and whatnot. I sometimes cannot believe that he is almost a teenager. It really seems just a couple of years ago that we brought him home from the hospital. Part of me is happy to see him maturing and another part is just a bit sad to see the child in him disappearing.
