Possible strike…

This morning when I got into the office I was immediately draw into a conversation about the union at my office. I am obligated to be a member of the union and try to stay aware of happenings within it. Apparently there was a meeting last night to discuss our upcoming contract negotiation. I missed the meeting but my co-workers were more than happy to fill me in on what happened. The word on the street is that our union will strike if the negotiations do not proceed as they would like. I can’t say that this thrills me. I believe in light of things that have taken place in the economy that we have to give concessions that we might not like. It would seem that most of my co-workers feel as I do which makes me wonder how the union makes decisions?
