Budgets and more budgets…

Budgets seems to be a cause of concern everywhere I turn lately. Our local newspaper seems to have a daily feature article featuring information about our local budget issues. When I get to work I am then informed about issues impacting our agency as a result of changes proposed to our state budget. At home I read online about our national budget discussions. At this point I have no idea what the future holds for my family or myself. We know that there will be changes to the pension at my job and benefits offered to us. I can only hope that when I do retire that my social security benefitswill still be at the level I have been anticipating. I realize that changes must take place on all levels. It would just be nice to be able to ease into these changes a little at a time. I hope that they don’t hit us all at once. Once each of these budgets are finalized I feel like then I can begin to work on my personal budget. I am quite sure I will have to make budget changes on a personal level to accommodate all the other changes in the world around me.
