Liking it…

Last summer when my wife proposed that we start a garden I have to say I wasn’t thrilled with the idea. It seemed like something we would put a great deal of effort into and then give up on after a while. I was proven wrong in our first year and can now honestly say I love gardening. Most of our gardening plans are not mine but I enjoy them nonetheless. My wife carefully researches every proposed planting and plan for our garden. Some of it works and some of it doesn’t but we always learn something and have fun. This year our garden is at least double the size of last years. We have also added quite a number of fruiting plants to our yard and several annuals. It is something our entire family enjoys doing. We quite literally cannot keep our children out of the soil. There was a time when I love my vacant green lawn and couldn’t envision it any other way. Today I love the raised beds and things growing in every corner. I was clearly wrong about the notion of gardening and my family.
