Digging the soil.

Today I am taking a half day off from work for a rather atypical reason. Most people take days off for doctor’s appointments and the like. I am using this time to work in the soil. Specifically I am going to spend the afternoon tilling our garden plot at the community garden. We have not been able to get into the garden until today because the soil has been to flooded and wet to work. This means that we are getting a late start on the garden by at least two weeks. My hope is that this won’t have too much of an impact on things. The main problem will be if the weather continues to be this wet all season. We will likely loose everything is this is the case because the area is prone to flooding especially where our plot is located.
