Another chance…

Last night we decided to give our older son another chance at having a computer in his room. The last time he had a computer in his room it was one of the pc desktops issued to him by his cyber charter school. We found at that time that he just wasn’t mature enough to handle a computer in his room. He didn’t exactly treat it as a piece of valuable equipment. We were constantly finding stuff piled on the computer and liquids near it. Ultimately we removed the computer and placed it in a more secure area of the house. It has been a couple of years since then and we decided to let him try again to demonstrate that he can be responsible with his computer. The school has now issued students laptops rather than desktops which make things much easier. He will still need to show us that he will treat the computer with care in order for it to remain in his room.
